The textured PEI coating of the AD5X offers very high adhesion during printing, reducing warping and improving the stability of the first layer. Its design allows parts to be easily removed when cooled, often automatically without scraping, and provides a micro-textured surface on both sides. The sheet is flexible, made of spring steel, and magnetically attaches to the printer bed, facilitating removal and maintenance. Additionally, it is highly heat and wear resistant, withstanding repeated thermal cycles without losing adhesion.

The PEI adhesive sheet (sticker) maintains the same adhesion advantages, making it ideal for materials like PLA, PETG, and TPU without additional glues. Installation is simple thanks to the adhesive backing, allowing it to be placed directly on the existing platform quickly and securely. After printing and cooling, parts detach cleanly, minimizing the risk of damaging either the part or the print surface.

Unlike the main sheet, the adhesive sheet has a smooth side for a glossy finish on the bottom of the part. Its flexibility and magnetic property facilitate swapping, cleaning, and maintenance of the platform without tools. It is designed for long-lasting durability and can be easily cleaned with water or mild detergent, maintaining its adhesion and durability over time.

The AD5X is a high-performance printer with Core‑XY design and speeds up to ~600 mm/s. Installation and usage recommendations

Before installing either surface, clean the original magnetic bed to remove residues or old adhesive. Isopropyl alcohol is recommended.
When applying the PEI adhesive sheet, carefully align it and remove air bubbles to ensure uniform contact.
After installation, perform a new bed leveling and adjust the Z-offset if necessary, as the surface thickness may vary.
Allow the platform to cool after printing to facilitate part removal: often with the PEI sheet simply waiting is enough, while with the adhesive sheet slightly bending the flexible sheet can help remove the parts.
Keep the surface clean: periodic cleaning with warm water or mild detergent helps extend the life of the PEI and maintain its adhesion capability.
